Today’s Program:     The New Saranam Campus

Libby introduced Diane Campbell, Saranam’s director of  development.

During the past 18 years, success for families experiencing homelessness in New Mexico starts at Saranam, a 501c3 non-profit organization. Their proven, two-year program provides everything they need to break the cycle of generational homelessness and achieve long-term stability and independence.

Saranam offers housing, food, education, and training. Residents receive much more: a place of refuge, a supportive community, help healing, and hope for a brighter future for themselves and generations to come.

Maxed out at its current space for the past eight years, Albuquerque nonprofit Saranam says it will double its impact with a new Westside facility. They currently serve 20 families at its east side location.

Saranam broke ground Tuesday, February 23, 2022, on their new 3.5 acre Westside campus near Montano and Coors, to help with area homelessness. The campus has 15 new two-bedroom homes, 10 new four-bedroom homes, playgrounds, a community garden and a family center. The cost of this new facility is estimated to cost $9.3 million and they’re scheduled to move in during March, 2023.
