Albuquerque Interfaith is an organization of 15 institutions -- schools, churches, and non-profits all working to create a better community. This is a broad-based, non-partisan, multi-issue organization. Members are united, trained and organized communities across religious, racial, ethnic, economic and geographic lines to work collectively for the common good. Their primary goal is to develop leaders in these institutions who recognize and utilize their power to build a more just society.
ABQI is a part of the West / Southwest Industrial Areas Foundation, a network of organizations building power to revitalize our democracy for constructive social and economic change. They’re part of the Industrial Areas Foundation, the nation's first and largest network of community organizations.
All the organizations of the W/SWIAF are politically non-partisan. They will not endorse any candidate or party for elected office and will not pursue or accept government funding. Their mission is to build organizations that are "universities of public life", dedicated to developing citizens in the fullest sense: participants in our democracy and agents in the creation of a more just society.
Albuquerque Interfaith will soon be changing their name. There’ll also be a “big push” in 2023.
