We did not hold a meeting today due to the fact that it’s Christmas Eve. So, y’all have a happy & merry Christmas.

December has been – “Family Month”

Club, District & R.I. News and Business:

The Governor’s Ball - 18 or 25 April. Tables of 10 go for $1600. If our Club manages to reserve a table, we’ll get $400 back. Deadline for table sale is 2 weeks before the event. Ticket sales start on 20 January.

We really hope that they’ve decided on a location for this event!

There’s a Rotary Leadership Institute session scheduled for January 25th. The registration link is up and running on the District 5520 website. Location (tentative):  French - Lomas 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE,

Time: 7:30 am - 1:10 pm. Light breakfast will be served on premises.

There’ll be an international RFE group from our District going to District 4845 (Paraguay and NE Argentina) from April 21 to May 2, 2020. We don’t yet know the exact locations to be visited during this RFE. The visit may include the city of Asuncion, Iguazu Falls, etc.

During June 12-26, 2020, our District will host a fun Rotary Friendship Exchange group from South Australia.  Donna needs to know which clubs will be hosting, so she’ll know which airport they’ll be using. There’ll be five couples and two solo women. The two women could be in the same home if the host has two bedrooms or a room with two beds. Each hosting club must provide transportation in their area and halfway between the hosting club before and after the visit.

Respond to Donna Pedace at pedaceabq@aol.com or to Regina Guest at raeguest65@swcp.com if you’re willing to host that fun group of Australians.

RYLA: The boys camp will be held Sunday, July 12 through Saturday, July 18. The girls camp will be held Saturday, July 18 through Friday, July 24. They’re always looking for counselors too. Shane Lemon is the director of RYLA and can be contacted at shanelemon@aol.com
